A great choice for serial-plant killers, the monstera friedrichsthalii is a non-fussy, low-maintenance plant. It is known as the juveline form of an adansonii or a 'swiss cheese vine'. They can be left to trail or trained to grow up a trellis or moss pole.
Water: When the top inch of the soil is dry. About once per week during the peak of growing season.
- Light: Bright, indirect sunlight. Best close to a window that gets sunlight for around half of the day. Avoid direct sunlight as this may burn the leaves.
- Temperature/Humidity: As monstera are tropical plants, they like warmth and relatively high humidity. Happiest in temperatures around 20°C.
- Pets: Toxic to cats and dogs. Keep out of reach of fluffy friends and children!
- Feeding: Feed once a month in growing season (Spring & Summer) using a diluted liquid plant food. Do not feed unless the plant is actively growing.
Pot size: 12cm
Please note: All plants are provided in a plastic nursery pot. Any outer decorative pots photographed are for illustration purposes. This plant is not for consumption.
