Anthurium Joli (Flamingo Flower)
Anthurium joli are known as 'flamingo flower' due to the tall stems featuring a pop of colour that make it a great choice to add some life to a space! These waxy 'flowers' are actually not flowers at all, but 'spathes' - a type of modified leaf. They are relatively non-fussy and will thrive under the right conditions.
Shop the look:
Water: When the top inch of the soil is dry. You can spot a 'thirsty' anthurium if its leaves begin to droop.
- Light: Light lover, thrives in bright, indirect light. Be careful with direct sunlight as this can scorch the leaves.
- Temperature/Humidity: Anthurium are native to Ecuador and Columbian regions and so they like relatively high humidity to reach their full potential. Place them around other plants to naturally boost their humidity and lightly mist.
- Pets: Toxic to cats and dogs. Keep out of reach of fluffy friends and children!
- Feeding: Do not require much feeding. Once a month in growing season maximum, but ensure you are only using weak plant food solution (about a 1/4 strength is plenty!)
Pot size: 10cm
Please note: All plants are provided in a plastic nursery pot. Any outer decorative pots photographed are for illustration purposes. This plant is not for consumption.
